Join us at the Betsy Ross House for an evening of stitching and socializing! Celebrate all types of needlework by bringing your own project and your drink of choice. Each month, Sip & Stitch will be hosted by a different artisan sharing their craft – If you’re new to needlework or want to learn a new skill, we’ll have a project to share with you! Betsy herself is even making an appearance to share some stories of her own upholstery and flag-making business in the 18th century.

• September 14 Guest Host: Samantha Soifer, a Presidential embroidery artist, will share basic embroidery stitches with the group and get participants started on their first embroidery project.
• October 19 Guest Host: Meredith LaBoon, Betsy Ross House Operations Manager, will share 18th-century hand-sewing techniques and teach participants how to make their own “housewife” sewing kit.
