The textbooks don’t tell the stories of all the diverse people who had an impact on America’s history. And they don’t document every event that changed the course of history. And yet, at Historic Philadelphia, Inc. (HPI) we believe that those people deserve to be recognized. That those events deserve to be heard. These are the stories we tell.
Our trained History Makers and Storytelling Benches offer a history “snack” – a short trip back in time with stories rarely heard. Hearing these stories in the places where people lived and where events happened deepens our respect and broadens our understanding of who we are as a nation.
