Hey Gen Z! Take a break from doomscrolling and recruit some friends for a scavenger hunt through Old City starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Forget touching grass, come get hands-on with history during Slice of History: A Race Through Time!
Teams of two will tackle challenges, earn clues, and race through time for a chance to win great prizes. Along the way, you’ll visit iconic historic sites, meet some Founding Fathers (and a mother!) and learn a few things they didn’t teach you in school. Finish with pizza and beer in the Betsy Ross House courtyard.
Meet at the Free Quaker Meeting House for your first clue and get ready to lock in to race through history!
Slice of History is a meet-up for young adults to kick off Civic Season 2024, organized by the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and Made by Us. Civic Season is a program designed to understand the past and shape the future, co-created by Gen Z and the nation’s cultural institutions. The events take place in the summer between Flag Day and July 4, exploring history and civics.
