The Betsy Ross House will host its annual ceremony honoring the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The program begins at 9:59am with a processional from the Fireman’s Hall Museum, 147 N. 2nd Street, to the House at 239 Arch Street. The courtyard ceremony will follow at 10am, with remarks from Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, and other dignitaries. A flag-folding and bell-ringing will honor those lost.
The memorial is presented by the Betsy Ross House, Philadelphia Flag Day Association, Philadelphia Fire Department, Philadelphia Police Department, and the Philadelphia Prison System, with participation by the Second Alarmers of Philadelphia, Frankford High School Jr. ROTC, and the Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipe & Drums.
