How to Get Here
We are glad you have decided to join us at Historic Philadelphia! No matter if you are traveling by train, plane, or automobile, getting to America's birthplace could not be easier!

- Driving. William Penn designed Philadelphia to be the easiest city to navigate. Getting to Historic Philadelphia takes less than 2 hours from New York City, Baltimore, and the Jersey Shore and less than 3 hours from Washington D.C.
From points North:
Take I-95 to I-676 (Vine Street Expressway) and exit at 6th Street (Ben Franklin Bridge). Follow 6th Street to Chestnut Street, the Historic Philadelphia Center is located on the right inside the Public Ledger Building.
From points South: Take I-95 North to exit 22 (on left). Follow signs to 676 East/Independence Hall. Continue to Callowhill Street to 6th Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and follow to Chestnut Street, the Historic Philadelphia Center is located on the right inside the Public Ledger Building.
From points East: Take I-676 (Vine Street Expressway) and exit at 6th Street (Independence Hall). Stay right and follow 6th Street to Chestnut Street, the Historic Philadelphia Center is located on the right inside the Public Ledger Building.
From points West: Take I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to I-676 (Vine Street Expressway) and exit at 6th Street (Ben Franklin Bridge). Follow 6th Street to Chestnut Street, the Historic Philadelphia Center is located on the right inside the Public Ledger Building.

- Parking. There are many parking options in Historic Philadelphia. When using side-street parking, carefully read rules on signs. Be sure to check the assigned time-frame for parking in that area as well as the maximum amount of time you are allowed to park. Parking lots and garages are also available:
