The Betsy Ross House brings Betsy’s business back to life in its newly redesigned shop. The only 18th century upholstery shop in America will now be hands-on and interactive. Meet Betsy, hard at work plying her trade, and have the chance to ask her, not only about how she came to sew the nation’s first flag, but all about her business. See real upholsterer’s tools and learn first-hand how they were used in this state-of-the-art new exhibit made possible with the support of American Express.

- Book Signing: Meet Marla Miller, author of the brand-new Betsy biography, Betsy Ross and the Making of America, at a special reading and signing event beginning at Noon on Wednesday, April 28. Be one of the first to own this groundbreaking new book.
- Heavens to Betsy!: Check out our brand-new exhibit opening in the gallery April 28 and running through September. Heavens to Betsy! The Selling of An American Icon explores the commercial uses of Betsy’s famous name and likeness. From the predictable to the absurd, Betsy has been used to sell everything from sewing needles and bread to shoe polish and cigars. Come see the best examples.
- Mother’s Day Tea Party: Make your reservations early for our popular Mother’s Day Tea Party with Betsy Ross, with food provided by City Tavern, set for Saturday, May 8 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $35 for two; $15 for each additional. The event sells out quickly, so call (215) 686-1254 today.
