Grab your headset, We’re joining the revolution!

Experience the American Revolution, as it happened, where it happened through state-of-the-art technology at the Lights of Liberty Show, the first ambulatory sound and light show of its kind in the world. As you journey through Independence National Historical Park, the story is told through beautiful hand painted images that illuminate the buildings where the events actually took place over 230 years ago.

During the approximately one hour show, breathtaking five-story projections recreating actual events grace Franklin Court, the Second Bank of the U.S., Carpenters’ Hall and Independence Hall. You are guided by colonial players, and receive audio via 3-D sound headsets.
You’ll hear a moving musical score composed just for the show and performed by musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra, plus dazzling effects produced at Skywalker Sound. The voices of Walter Cronkite, Ossie Davis, Frank Langella, and Charlton Heston, among others, tell the tale. (Whoopi Goldberg narrates the kid’s channel!) Click for complete cast list.
The story is also available in our “Children’s Channel”, geared specifically towards children ages 6 - 12. In addition, the adult version is offered in German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
The critically acclaimed, award-winning show offers a night of unsurpassable historical entertainment for the whole family.
