Get in the spirit this holiday season with Holidays in the Besty Ross House Courtyard! See the Old City Holiday Tree and Menorah, meet Betsy Ross as she shares stories about holidays in the 18th century, and enjoy fun holiday facts throughout the Courtyard. Then, head to the Museum Store to find the perfect gift for friends and family.
Guests are asked to "pay-as-you-wish" to support the Betsy Ross House and Historic Philadelphia's programming through the museum closure.
Virtual Old City Holiday Tree Lighting

A holiday favorite goes virtual this year, when Betsy Ross joins Old City District to light the Old City Holiday Tree on Thursday, December 3, at 6:15pm. Get the first peek at this year’s tree designed by Old City’s Petit Jardin en Ville at the livestreamed event on Old City District’s Facebook page, then be sure to visit in person during the holiday season to enjoy all the seasonal sights, sounds … and shopping …the neighborhood has to offer.
Virtual Community Menorah Lighting
Thursday, December 10, 4:30pmAt 4:30 pm on Thursday, December 10, the House will join the Old City Jewish Arts Center to host a virtual community menorah lighting celebrating the first night of Hanukkah, streamed live on the Betsy Ross House Facebook page.
