Welcoming Visitors Back Safely

Historic Philadelphia, Inc. is committed to the safety of all guests and staff who visit the Betsy Ross House. The following procedures will be implemented by staff and guests. Signage at each entrance recommends that guests stay home if they are sick, wear masks, stay six feet apart for social distancing, and sanitize their hands.

For the safety of our visitors and our staff, please read the following guidelines before visiting the Betsy Ross House.


Inside & Outside

Masks will be required inside the Betsy Ross House and in the Courtyard. If you do not have a mask, we will be selling paper masks for $1. 

Please follow instruction from floor decals and signs throughout the Betsy Ross House and in the Courtyard.


Inside the Betsy Ross House

There is limited capacity inside the Betsy Ross House and in the Courtyard to practice safe social distancing. Please understand a line outside the house may be required until earlier groups enter the House. Groups inside the Betsy Ross House must stay at least one room apart.

Public restrooms are currently unavailable due to renovations. 

High-contact learning activities within the Betsy Ross House, such as the Kids Kitchen Interactives, have been removed to allow for safe visiting of all guests.


In the Courtyard

Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the Courtyard. Please make sure to sanitize before and after visiting.

To allow for comfortable and safe relaxation of our guests, tables and seats will be placed six feet apart.


Audio Tours

Audio tours are currently unavailable to allow for safe practices within the Betsy Ross House. Please feel free to participate in a self-guided tour. Masks are required inside the Betsy Ross House and in the Courtyard.


Restrooms

Public restrooms are currently unavailable due to renovations.
